The Bridge Church list simple core values of love, respect, and trust. And it’s not just how the Strand family views church but also their own home. If you walked into the door of their home you would find a sign stating, “In this house, we trust in God, think good thoughts, try and do better, say I’m sorry, believe in grace, love one another, show respect, never give up, Pray always.”  Rocky and Laura have three children, Peyton, Ian, and Isabel and they are striving to grow and learn as a family, living out these principals not only at home but everywhere life takes them.

Pastor Rocky and Laura have served God in ministry for the last ten years in a variety of positions including Children’s and Youth Ministry, Praise and Worship Ministry, and most recently as an Associate Pastor. 

​

Planting a church in Cape Girardeau began as a dream in 2014 as they began to pray for the next season for their family. Rocky, from Marble Hill, and Laura, from Jackson originally met as children and married in 1999. In 2016 it became clear that the time had come to fulfill the dream God placed in their hearts for their hometown community, with the desire to help others find their way home to the simple truth of God’s grace. Rocky and Laura are trying to raise a family that believes God’s love changes everything and they would be honored to join your family in the journey.
